Pétros Biokinetics is a clinical restoration methodology combining biomechanical assessment, movement
prescriptions, and supervised execution protocols. We specialize in addressing chronic pain, movement
dysfunction, athletic optimization, and post-injury rehabilitation through evidence-based restoration.
Timelines vary by individual. While we cannot predict an exact end date as recovery depends on the specific
illness or condition, our focus is on consistently improving your functionality and quality of life.
For clients with acute injuries, recent surgery, or serious health conditions, we recommend a referral.
However, for chronic pain, postural issues, and preventive optimization, a medical referral is not required.
A referral can also be beneficial if you wish to claim through your medical aid. During your consultation,
we'll assess whether any referrals are needed for your specific situation.
While physical therapy addresses injury recovery, our method focuses on complete biomechanical restoration
and
optimization. We assess your entire movement system, prescribe targeted protocols, and supervise execution
for complete functional restoration and performance enhancement.
While some maintenance protocols can be done at home, we strongly recommend in-facility execution initially.
Our supervised sessions ensure proper form, progression, and adjustments. Once you've mastered the movement
patterns (typically 6-8 weeks), you can transition to home maintenance with periodic check-ins.
We accept most major medical aid schemes including NHP, NMC, NAMMED, RMA, and Prosperity. For PSEMAS
patients,
we issue an invoice for your session — payment is required upfront, and you can submit the claim to PSEMAS
for
direct reimbursement.
Your initial assessment (60 minutes) includes a comprehensive movement analysis, biomechanical evaluation,
discussion of your health history and goals, functional tests, and a detailed explanation of findings.
You'll
receive a clear roadmap with an initial restoration protocol with timelines and progress markers.
Most clients begin with 2–3 sessions weekly (8 weeks), then transition to weekly or bi-weekly sessions for
progression and maintenance. Frequency depends on your condition severity, recovery pace, and goals.
Absolutely. Our Athletic Optimization service is specifically designed to enhance performance and prevent
injury.
